I started in print with annual reports, collateral, and packaging. I moved to the Web in the early 2000’s. Since then, I have been able to cross media with a foundation of strong visual design, based on clear communication goals, and executed through print production and web development knowledge. I love to build things.
Most recently, as a Creative Team Lead, I was responsible for defining brand standards, production workflow, creative asset management, mentoring colleagues, and providing creative direction and leadership across company channels. Creative deliverables are: print, direct-mail marketing, and event marketing; digital collateral including: e-mail marketing, advertising, social assets; audio/visual production: including promo videos and podcasts. Project management includes: stakeholder presentations, project ideation, vendor delivery, annual budget considerations.
Prior to that, I was a private contractor for Agency MSI, Chicago Bridge and Iron as well as Tribe Agency. Agency MSI work included print collateral, POS ideation, and packaging development for Craftsman, Liftmaster, and Bed Bath & Beyond. My role with CB&I was a senior digital web consultant, developer. My main focus was providing marketing materials and website deliverables for statewide energy efficiency programs in Wisconsin (Focus on Energy) and Ohio (Community Energy Savers); html newsletters, banner ads, CRM management, web content coding and implementation. My role with Tribe Agency included project management, art direction, client presentation, end-deliverable development of print and web-based assets.
ThinkPiece Creative started in 2009, as a side project. I had a few independent clients. Over time, I began managing all aspects of business development, relationship management, project management, staffing, and billing.I Personally developed a client base ranging from small-sized medical practices, hospitals, boutique furniture retailers, and startup businesses, including: Gracik Makinney Real Estate Group, Mayana Chocolate, Physician Software Systems, Saint Anthony Hospital, and University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System. I created a process for project management and asset development and delivery that ensured accuracy, while maintaining client, staff expectations; Define, Design. Develop, Deploy.
